An easy, fresh and very healthy dip, tzatziki is adored by kids and adults alike. Eat with just a slice of fresh bread, dip croutons, enjoy as a meze or accompany your BBQ.

This is the quintessential Greek dip and you can find it on family tables, in tavernas, the traditional street food gyros, accompanying a wine platter, really anywhere.

We usually make tzatziki using a FAGE 2% pot at home but if we want to treat ourselves or guests we go for the 5% or the full fat version.

This is one of these super easy recipes that are synonymous with Greek food. And you know what, they also appear on real Greek family tables. We love serving tzatziki both as an appetiser and as a side dish during big family meals, BBQs and big holiday gatherings. Or even just as a snack, with a breadstick or some croutons.

It goes very well with our Aromatic Chicken recipe.

Just take care with the garlic! In our family we usually limit ourselves to a single garlic clove for a pot of yoghurt.

This is a basic portion of tzatziki that will serve as a side for a party of four. If you are planning a big family meal, have – like most families – a child or adult that loves the stuff or are holding a BBQ you should at least double the ingredients, most likely triple them!

You can keep tzatziki for a couple of days in the fridge.

Success! You're on the list.
